Overview of the Avia Pulse AE Series

The Avia Pulse AE (Emergency) Series is a therapeutic Oxygen Conserving System designed for customers who have a pre-exisiting medical condition and pre-book oxygen for their flight(s). The clylinder can also be used for emergency purposes. The advantage is that oxygen is only consumed during that part of the inhalation where the oxygen is of benefit and a reduced amount of oxygen is therefore needed with the consequent weight saving.

The AE series has 5 pulse settings and constant flow settings of 2 and 4 litres per minute. The system compromises of a lightweight DOT approved cylinder, available in 3 sizes; 2.0 litre, 2.7 litre and 3.2 litre water capacity with a working pressure of 200 bar.The conserver gives extremely economical performance, releasing a bolus of oxygen as soon as it registers a small drop of pressure in the passenger's nose, it then closes very quickly, thus conserving oxygen. The conserver performance is best in class.

The conserver is very efficient and simple to use.

A purpose designed flame retardant bag, includes pockets for the operating instructions, cannula. Cannula assemblies can be supplied with an inline flow indicator, allowing cabin crew to check delivery of oxygen whilst a passenger is sleeping.

Avia Technique has been incorpoated a number of features following consultation with experienced airline cabin safety specialists and engineers.

  • Operation

  • 1) Check 02 levels are at full

  • 2) Attach cannula to bottle

  • 3) Select correct flow rate as per customer requirements

  • 4) Turn the isolation valve to fully open

  • 5) Customer to postion cannula on face

  • 6) Ensure customer has oxygen flow

  • 7) Check customer and gauge every 30 minutes
